Morgaine O'Kerry Hamouris, PhDabout this book: This book is a story of a woman's experience as she goes through the process of spiritual transformation. Although she has had access to some of the world's greatest teachers, mystics and texts, she still finds the path nearly impassable.
I discovered, in my psychology classes, that there was a state of consciousness way beyond the ego. I knew intuitively that achieving this state was the purpose of my life and I set out to do that. This book is a reckoning of the challenge thusfar.
People with a strong commitment to a spiritual awakening will resonate with this book. The reader benefits from the vast body of mistakes I've made and becomes privy to a distilled process of refinement. Enlightenment is about refinement of the soul.
The most difficult part of writing this piece was awaiting a sense of completion, developing patience, experiencing adequate growth in order to feel worthy of the work. Many pages have been thrown out over the last 25 years. I woke up one day and realized that author and authority shared the same root and it was time for me to own my authority and speak out.
The greatest and simplest lesson I can pass on to you from this work is:
Trust yourself and your intuition and never allow the world to pressure you into being something you are not. There is a god and it is you.
