M.G. Hawkingabout this book: Welcome! To say that this book contains something quite rare would be to significantly understate the case. Some 40 years ago, while trekking in an exceedingly remote region of the Great Himalayan Range, I chanced upon a valley nestled below ice peaks so high as to appear overhead. In that isolated valley I encountered a tiny village, a village so exceedingly remote, and with an existence so mythical, that it does not appear on extant maps. On ancient maps it was sometimes marked as Bhala, or Bhalapada (Sanskrit; path to Bhala.) Yet I learned that it has one other, more vital name: Siddhalaya. Siddha, in Sanskrit, denotes a high adept or master; alaya means the abode of—for this village is said to be in the valley of the masters.
In Siddhalaya I had the privilege of meeting a number of extraordinary men and women—introduced to me as "masters" and "adepts"—possessed of knowledge and power virtually unknown to the Western world, power that the West's ordinary, conventional, consensual world view is unfortunately unequipped and certainly unwilling to recognize.
The intent of this book is to bring this knowledge to light. You will meet these remarkable masters and hear first-hand their expressions and explanations of the fundamental knowledge, essential principals of consciousness, and methods of visualization that manifest as astonishing creative powers.
