Sharon Miller-Robinsonabout this book: Jamaicans love to drink soup every saturday for their dinner. It is part of our ancestors menu.
You can find these soup menus on every corner, on every street in Jamaica. Every restaurant in Jamaica has these soups as part of their menu for the day.
We also drink soup as a remedy for the flu, especially chicken foot soup. I thought that by writing a book on soups, it would provide a basic knowledge to my readers on how to prepare our soups, which are different from those found in other parts of the world.
This book, I believe would attract the younger generation or young wives who want to try something different, when preparing meals for their husbands.
I wanted the book cover to be unique and appealing to my readers, so I searched for one on the internet.
I included images to depict how these soups should look after preparing, since the ingredients maybe new to many.
I do hope that those who purchase this book, will enjoy a part of my culture.
