Mary Ann Bernalabout this book: Scribbler Tales Volume Two is a collection of contemporary short stories, which runs the gamut of genres to satisfy everyone. I love the diversification anthologies provide, which permits me to cover topics discussed on talk shows and other social media venues. I especially like to keep the reader guessing, ending with twists that no one saw coming.
In Broken Promises, Madeline is besotted with her boss and fails to see the truth when she breaks the law. Criminal justice system failure prompts a vigilante to exact his own punishment in Deception. Endgame finds Dr. Sandy Bauer enchanted by the covert nature of her government research until she stumbles upon horrific secrets, putting her life at risk. Andrew must prove his innocence when a disgruntled woman accuses him of rape in Malice. Holliday is captivated by a fearsome ancestor determined to take over her very being in The Portrait.
Scribbler Tales (Volume Two) is part of a five series anthology, future volumes to be published over ensuing months. Hop on the band wagon and enjoy the adventure.

Scribbler Tales is full of mystery and ongoing suspense
a review by Brenda PerlinScribbler Tales: A Collection of Short Stories by Mary Ann Bernal, all dark, are written in such a way that you have to read more. The author crafts stories that pull her readers in. Wanting more but getting just enough. There is great skill that goes into her stories but she seems to write with ease. The words flow effortlessly. This is a smart collection that kept me guessing. Slices of life that no matter how far fetched feel authentic.
