Sean C. Wrightabout this anthology: My short story, Devil Does Dallas, appears in this anthology.
The plot expands on the phrase "the devil made me do it." This is my way of taking power back from The Prince of Darkness. The devil is a salesman who tries to reach his quota with a Latina, a Caucasian man, an Asian woman, and an African American boy. People of difference backgrounds and races are all vulnerable. To complicate things, he has the same omnipresence as God, knowing any and everything about his targets. Who will resist? Who will not?
I based the hero in this story on my grandmother, a strong Baptist woman. This story was the most fun to write because it tackles the age-old struggle, man vs. evil, with a modern touch.
Devil Does Dallas primes the pump in my publishing career because it was the first short story I ever got published. I've been writing since I was eight and this was the first thing to go to press thirty years after a car full of rejection slips!
I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoyed writing it!
