Quinn R McSherryabout this book: Blackened knight is a story about an expedition to a distant world to survey the unknown alien ruins there. The expedition however wakes an ancient evil on that world, and must find a way to escape the evil world.
I have always been a fan of SciFi and Fantasy. In setting out to write Blackened Knight I wanted it to simply be a fun SciFi Fantasy adventure and wanted to create something which evokes my favorite memories of the genre. I wished to create a world much like our own, neither completely utopian nor completely dystopian. Really how much would things change in a few hundred years? Tech would be more advanced but people would be basically the same.
The title was originally going to be Iron Knight due to the main characters' metallic prosthetic hands. But while working on the story I decided I didn't really love that title. I named the male protagonist Daniel Black and I decided Blackened Knight reflected what I was trying to create, a hero who in different circumstances would be a villain. I hope that those who read this at the very least just have fun reading it. I just wanted to write something that would bring a few hours of enjoyment, anything beyond that is a huge bonus. So please enjoy, have fun. Thanks for reading.
