Book: Johnny Dreamcatcher and the World of Dreams by David Maughan
|5 stars, 2 reviews on Amazon|
David Maughanabout this book: Johnny is an eleven year old boy who inherits abilities from his father, grandfather and great grandfather that allows him to visit different places and even different worlds in his dreams. This in and of itself seems pretty uncomplicated, but when he discovers that he can bring treasures from the dream world back to the real world this is where the story gets interesting. Johnny finds himself in a battle with a bully at school and uses his dream walking capabilities to make the life of Billy Donavon miserable. Johnny's brother Payton is kidnapped and Johnny helps to find and free him.
These dreams are a collection of stories that I would tell my children when they were small. The youngest reader to date is 8 years old and the oldest is 72. All ages have raved about the book asking when volume 2 will be released.
The cover shows Johnny climbing a mountain to experience his journey into manhood. There are several clues about some of the adventures Johnny experiences.
Readers of all ages will enjoy the amazing stories that will open their imagination to the world of dreams.
