L. M. Mooreabout this book: Charged has everything that I love. This book is about an ex-cop, Lewis Kagen, who is disabled. When he learns that Richie has been murdered, a childhood friend, he knows that he's the only one who really cares. And he's determined to bring the perp to justice. Unfortunately, Lewis has no idea that he's not dealing with a human killer, he's dealing with something much worse than he could ever imagine. A small device that he discovers, leads him into the depths of Earth and he finds that we are not alone. There are others that have been watching us for a very long time. Unfortunately, just as Lewis finds out what killed Richie, he realizes the "others" can not help. And he's defending a new species against something that is an abomination. Can he save a dying race from a swift extermination?
I wrote this because I love science fiction. My favorites are Star Wars, Men in Black and Aliens and Hyperion. I've been reading and writing my whole life and decided I would finally share. This is a series, book 2 is finally in the making and I strive to make the second book, so much more than the first. I tried very hard to find new ideas and new conflict that is not horror or disgusting and I believe I've got the explitives down to 3 in the book and they aren't the really bad ones. I try write for my ten year old son and my 66 yr. old mother. I love them dearly. I write sci fi that starts off in the real world, and that is in the first person. That's just what fits me. What I'm really looking for here, is suggestions on how to improve. What kind of a writer doesn't ask for that. This is my fourth novel and the only one I think is good enough to be published, so I'm excited to hear how to make it better and what you'd be expecting for book 2. I write for all of you, so please, bring me your poor, your tired and the truth. Thank you, I will use it to improve and improve. Humbly L.M.Moore
