Emmeline Costa-Wagner about this book: Scorpio Moon is about a couple troubled in love, torn by magic and time travel. The story is set in South Africa with flash backs to WWII Germany as well as a flash forward to Langley, USA.
The story is woven around the metaphysical journeys that the main male character, LUKE ROSS, experiences as a result of dark magic. LUKE has an overwhelming desire for adventure and danger. His innate power is fearlessness. The woman in his life, MAX MULLER, goes to dangerous lengths in order to resolve her feelings of isolation and obsession. Her power is to evoke change through magic. MAX does not realize the full magnitude of a spell she performs. It corrupts their lives and twists their emotions to the brink of madness and MAX is propelled into deeper isolation. The spell is the complication that initiates the dark journeys which LUKE experiences. His journey's span the countries of Germany during WWII, future Langley in the USA as well as present day Durban, South Africa. LUKE'S experiences in these countries are all interconnected by historical events.
I was inspired to write this book out of an interest in all things metaphysical - Astrology, numerology, the psychic realm, time travel and telephathy. I wanted to write a story aboout love that also touched on these sorts of subjects. I think the primary readers of this book would more than likely be men and women who are interested in paganism, metaphysics or are just interested in reading quirky, unusual stories with a bit of history, drama and heated romance thrown in. The book took me 10 years to write in three different countries whilst working, studying and eventually starting a family. I had written and re-written the story a number of times first, before having it e-published.
