Book: Hard Changes by Bea Cannon
|5 stars, 1 review on Amazon|
Bea Cannonabout this book: More than thousand years from now, on an alien world, the people from Earth have lost their memories of home, or even the fact that they came from a different world. Most live the simplistic lives of nomads, moving from one place to another when resources are depleted in one area.
But there are always changes in life. Some are good, some are bad…some just are. Even the good changes can be hard, so one can imagine how hard the not-so-good ones are. In the world that Randa and her family inhabit, the changes are unexpected...and extensive.
This story chronicles what happens when one family decides not to follow their group when it moves on, instead opting to establish a home and live by planting, hunting and fishing in an isolated area. They also have to deal with all the permutations that life throws at them on a world that includes violence, psychic changes, and beings that are other than human.
