Book: The Colony by R.M. Gilmour
categories: Book, Romance, Time Travel, Colony, Soulmate, SciFi, Love, Acceptance, Science FictionR.M. Gilmour

A soul-searching story of love and acceptance, The Colony offers a fresh perspective on the separation of mind and body, and the power of resilience and perseverance. Aimed at adult and new adult readers, I hope you enjoy reading the story as much as I enjoyed writing it.
My inspiration for the story came from my not-so-lonely walks home each day, after dropping my son off at school. Jordan (yes, in my head, and no, I swear I'm not crazy), would join me on an adventure each morning, in another dimension (it is a fabulous thing that I had no roads to cross on my way home). And once my day was done, each night I would write about him and his world.
The title came to me almost as soon as I started writing the story. It took less than six months to write it from start to finish, but then another six to edit... Editing, I quickly discovered was a whole other realm on its own...
There is a book two, carving its own vicious path through Lydia's world, and which I hope to have finished by early 2016.
