J.T. Lundyabout this book: The book is a spy-spoof, action adventure thriller, and comedy that even has a love story. I wanted to escape, have fun, laugh, and go on a journey, but I also wanted to send a serious message. I wanted to do something like Joseph Heller's Catch-22 or Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle. I graduated high school in 1984. And as a member of the class of 1984, I've always had a fear of Big Brother and this fear came out during writing.
The book may have some serious themes, but at its heart it is a fun-loving, rollicking good time that anyone with a sense of humor can enjoy. It is a fish out of water story that brings an everyday man out of his everyday world to save the United States from a cast of nutty, but evil characters. The book is for somebody looking to laugh, have a good time, and feel good in the end.
• "A mild-mannered federal functionary battles a fascist takeover in this boisterous satirical thriller. ...Lundy is a talented writer who crafts vivid characters, keeps the overcomplicated story moving at a brisk pace and serves up vigorous prose with punchy dialogue." — Kirkus Reviews
• "J.T. Lundy has written a book that is humorous and scary, contains enough truth in it to keep you wondering if it might not all be true, and is a really fun read." — Pam Bunch WNCW Radio.
