Book: Big Horn Storm by Kim McMahill

Kim McMahillabout this book: A too-close-to-home military crisis, a traumatic accident, and a terrifying bear encounter high in the mountains — to expect help is a delusion no one can afford if they hope to survive. Hunted and pushed higher into the backcountry, and with a deadly storm brewing in the Big Horns, can the rugged rancher and the sheepherder's granddaughter endure the wrath of ruthless invaders, conquer the forces of nature and rekindle lost love?
Big Horn Storm is a contemporary western romantic adventure set in remote mountain country. The story combines a foreign invasion, harrowing horseback escapes, and a continuous quest to overcome the environmental obstacles in a harsh landscape, along with an attempt to reconcile past mistakes in an action-packed thriller. Though a complete work of fiction, I relied on memories from my childhood when writing the horseback scenes and when creating the setting amid these amazing mountains of Wyoming. I hope I did this place justice and succeeded in creating a cowboy of every girl's dream.
