Nora LeDucabout this book: I was inspired to write Staging Murder when I watched a show about a realtor who struck fear and anger in the hearts of her clients with her overly harsh criticism of their homes. Imagine one unbalanced client who'd wanted to get back at her, and we've the set up for a murder.
For major characters, I added a step daughter who is a home stager, and her ex-boyfriend, now a homicide detective. To complicate matters, I included an arsonist, who was burning the buildings in the small town and wove the crime into the story. The idea for the arsonist was based on a real story I discovered online. Originally, I'd hoped to name the book Love Burns, but my editor suggested the title play off the occupation of my heroine, the home stager.
I hope all my readers can take a few minutes or hours to sit back, relax and enjoy their day with this book and others I've written.
