Norah Wilson about this book: I have always loved reading sexy romantic suspense, and my favorite kind is the type that keeps a tight focus on the hero and heroine, while still delivering all the danger and fast pace of a great suspense. And I absolutely love reading military or para-military heroes. After years of trying to write straight contemporary romance, it occurred to me to try my hand at romantic suspense, specifically a cop story. I haven't looked back! Guarding Suzannah went on to final in the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart® contest, as did two other of my romantic suspenses.
I also write sexy paranormal romance, but even those books are basically romantic suspense with vampires. ;-)
Here's my stock description for Guarding Suzannah: Criminal defense attorney Suzannah Phelps is the bane of the Fredericton police department (they call her She-Rex for her habit of shredding cops in the witness box). She is currently being stalked, but is reluctant to report it to the police, whom she half suspects of being the perpetrators. But when Detective John (Quigg) Quigley learns of it, he's determined to protect her, at considerable risk to his career. They've struck sparks off each other in the courtroom, and he's burning to do the same in the bedroom. When the danger escalates, he has the perfect excuse to pose as her boyfriend, but the closer they get, the more the lines between pretense and reality blur.
