Patricia Gauthierabout this book: This is book one of a trilogy I've written around an event planning business called Celebrations. What motivated me to write this book? I absolutely hated planning my own wedding, but 23 years ago there weren't such things as wedding planners.
Our heroine, Trish Haywood, has been raised in seclusion at a rural convent in Canada having never known any family. Imagine her surprise when she discovers that she is really an American heiress to a vast lumber fortune! Thinking things just couldn't possibly get any better she opens her event planning business with the help of her departed grandfather's lawyer, Jake Sullivan.
When Jake's nephew, Davis Sinclair, moves into town with his daughter he never expects to find the woman of his dreams...now all he has to do is convince her to go out with him. Sounds pretty easy, right? Trish turns out to be a little spitfire, refusing all his advances. Can blackmail really be his last resort?
With a lot of help from his Aunt Sylvia and Trish's best friend, Melissa, he finally gets his chance...which he completely blows. Now what? Unfortunately Davis isn't the only one trying to get his hands on her. There's a kidnapper lurking around determined to ruin Trish Sinclair and make a profit at the same time. Throw in Davis' revenge bound ex-wife and the sparks begin to fly!
