Barbara Joan Warrenabout this book: Two young sisters were kidnapped and held for ransom. Their parents paid the ransom to get their daughters back, but only Tess, the youngest, was returned. For twenty-four years Tess has grieved for her sister, Rhona, but now there is a chance of finding her. When Rhona returns the sisters find themselves locked in a battle for their lives as the kidnappers try to prevent them from learning the truth about who abducted them. I wrote this book after reading about a child being abducted and realizing how devastating it must be to her family and what horrors that little girl might be going through.
It only took about two months to write the first draft, but then I go over and over my manuscript, polishing and revising until I finally feel it is ready to submit. The hardest part was trying to relate to Tess, the young girl who returned home, to the guilt and grief she had to live with. I want my readers to realize that no matter what they are going through, God is there to comfort and help them. Life is full of storms, but He promises to go through the storms with us. That's a wonderful blessing.
