Book: Fate's Intervention by Barbara Woster
|4.7 stars based on the 3 most helpful Amazon reviews|
Barbara Wosterabout this book: Fate's Intervention made it to the quarter-finals of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel of the Year Award. Although it didn't win, it is still an honor to be chosen as worth reading among so many excellent entries.
Fate's Intervention is a story of a young woman's determination to buck the societal system by remaining an unwed spinster, much to the continuing aggravation to her father. Since it takes place at a time where young women were often married at the onset of puberty, her determination is a foreign concept.
There is a lot of humor and witty banter between the characters, which I thoroughly enjoyed writing.
Like Only One, Whispers of the Heart, and Edge of Insanity, this book was targeted to a young adult viewing audience and can be read by anyone over the age of 13.
ABOUT THE PROCESS:
I try to ensure that all of my books are true to the period in which they are written, and also attempt to weave a bit of history into the story without overwhelming the story with historical facts.
As with all of my books, I designed and created the book cover on my own, with lots of input from my family :-).
