Willee Amsdenabout this book: The reviews are in and Annie McCauley is a scream in the highly rated Annie McCauley Romantic Comedy Mysteries. Here are a few samples of Amazon reviewer's comments... "Couldn't put it down... Laugh out loud funny... Hilarious."
In the fourth book Annie is up to her neck in hot water in Key West. When she left her home in the Mesa View trailer park to make it big as a high fashion model in New York City, she thought she would make it all the way to the cover of Women's Wear Daily, but due to her arch rival Brittany's dirty tricks her modeling career is fading. Now, in order to pay her rent, she's working for Ida Grolsch transporting people who need an escort for one reason or another.
The job seems like a simple one even though Annie's "sometimes" lover, Luther, Ida's huge, dangerous, sexy, and annoying son is traveling with her. Annie once accidentally shot Luther. Sometimes she regrets it and other times she wishes she'd done a better job. He's that kind of man.
Annie, Luther, and Annie's BFF, Luis must escort two elderly men to Key West where the old timers plan on having a reunion with some old friends (at least that's their story).
But in Annie's life, things are never as simple or easy as they seem and in no time at all she has one lover, two geezers, three friends, and four corpses. Will she be able to fend off the amorous advances of the tall, dark and handsome police detective? Will the evil drug lord have her rubbed out? Will she solve the mystery of Luther's family's troubled past? Is making love in a glass bottomed boat a good idea?
While she works on these mysteries she manages to go from one hilarious situation to another, including chasing her dim-witted cousin who is running around Key West embarrassing the family. Annie has promised her mama she'll get him off the island and send him back to Mesa View, Texas to work with Uncle Howie in the welding shop.
Meanwhile, Luther is still making overtures despite their latest blowup over a blonde bombshell from his past. This is a laugh out loud mystery with just the right amount of romance.
