Exciting Book
This was a well written book with real people and and also have true feelings for the people who are their lives. I would recommend this book for all to read! I loved the book. [by Betty Hughston]
From the Author
Pablo Picasso said that the reason that he began to paint was so that he could have an art collection in his home of which he could be proud. I wrote Dansville, and then Stella Landry for my library and for the same reason. Thank you for the 5-star review. [by Robin McCorquodale]
I Love This Book and Its Writer!
It's hard to explain the emotions that were pulled out of me by this exquisitely written book. The characters are all so vivid and real to me. I loved Foley and Hugh and their relationships with Elaine. I've re-read it FIVE times since last Friday when I first picked it up. I some ways, I really wish it had been broken up into two books. I'd have loved to have read more about Foley and Elaine before I read about Hugh and Elaine. Oh, what the heck, I'd have liked it to be three books so I could have read about everybody as they moved forward into their later lives. It must have moved me, I've been sitting here googling through fifteen pages of library and bookseller sites just to garner more info on this remarkable writer and other books.
