Diana Lesire Brandmeyerabout this book: A Bride's Dilemma in Friendship, Tennessee began it's life as a short novella. I was asked if instead it could be a full length book, I sighed, then said yes. The women in this book needed a lot more page time. They were delightful to write about and my favorite character turned out to be the child in the book, Angel. Sometimes a writer gets a character who practically writes her own lines and actions. That's what she did. I didn't have to struggle with words she would say or what she would do. That girl is packed with personality.
A Bride's Dilemma in Friendship, Tennessee stretched my research skills. I learned about farms, guns, and gardening. We even visited the small town of Friendship, so I could get a feel of the land. I strolled through the historical part of the cemetery, checked out where the two stores were located and spoke with some wonderful women about their town.
While the book begins before winter arrives my visit took place in February. It was easy to see what kind of misadventures could occur depending on the weather.
