Book Reviews: The Road by Patrena Miller
|5 stars, 2 reviews|
Patrena Millerabout this book: The novel is about a you lady who finds love in the wrong places, relying on best friend. The character goes through some life altering situations and must fight to escape if she wants to live.
What inspired me to write was a person whom I grew up with, who always had a love of reading. She helped me to see what imagination can do while reading.
The primary readers of the novel would be people who are into romance, and adult reading. I am not going to sugar coat it, this novel is really intriguing. I am looking for those readers who like thrill, love and the suspense of "what is going to happen next".
I chose my title because of the character; the road she was on was not her own but of another individual who took a part of her life.
The hardest part of writing this novel and a couple more that I am in the process of writing is how will people take what I wrote; even though my mother passed away years ago, I think of her words. Will it affect how I am seen, will the people who know me as a christian see me differently now.
The novel is fiction; however, things of this nature could happen. I do not know of this happening to anyone. It basically just put information out there, stating to watch who you choose to be a part of your life.
I want my readers to know that I am really looking forward to writing more sensual material as I have done so in "The Road" and I want to capture your imagination as you read. I want you to be able to feel and see the words I write as if it was on a screen. I will do my best not to let down my audience; I am a new author and I am working on my style and a lot of other things; so be patient with me and as I grow you can see the growth in my work. I know I am not going to please everyone, but I am trying to capture majority. *smile*

Worth ReadingI liked it and it was everything I did not expect; you did a really good job on it. As a reader I noticed some things but it is to be expected from a new writer. I can not wait to see what you do next, however I do know that it will be interesting if it is anything like this. [by Nancy]
The BestA must read, cant wait to get my hands on this. I wish I can see more. It gives me a smile as a read. I will put this book on top of my sports books, that I read. I will read this book everyday of the week, anytime of the day to get my day started.
