Sybil Powellabout this book: Not too long ago I had to give up golf for personal reasons but it was a game I enjoyed. Though not very good I followed the ladies professional tour and often wondered what they did when they weren't playing golf. This was the inspiration for Tee for Two. Gemma Stanford is one of the leading lady golfers whose private life has a great influence on her game. Naturally her private life is full of unusual incidents both good and bad, influenced by those around her requiring her to make difficult decisions romantically and otherwise. Though out the book an early encounter with an attractive gym owner leads to a supporting male attachment that is far from smooth and almost continuous.
I enjoyed writing this book and it did lead to a lot of research which I found fascinating but this is not a golf book in the normal sense of things but about the challenges Gemma finds off the course and her relationship she has with her male caddies and house hold staff. It is a study of the 'at home' relationships of a professional lady golfer.
