Book: Why You Won't Go To Hell by Benjamin Vande Weerdhof Andrewscategories: Book, Spirit, Fear, Christianity, Islam, Soul, Religion
Benjamin Vande Weerdhof Andrewsabout this book: This book contains an entirely new insight on how religion originated before writing was invented. It gives much information to use in debates about whether religion is beneficial or a detriment in modern society. It is the result of a lifetime of research, prompted by the inconsistencies which are obvious in any religion. It took seven years to write and went through many revisions based on new developments in Archeology, Anthropology, Neuroscience, and DNA research. Since fear is a major part of keeping people tied to their religion it prompted the choice of the title. The hardest part in writing this book was the fact that the scientific knowledge is expanding so rapidly that revision is an ongoing task.
The hope is that many people, confused by their religious upbringing or environment will get a rational explanation of why we even have religions. It is also an attempt to help people who sit on the fence to decide which side to jump off as well as helping people who have shed their religious belief but are afraid to admit to their friends and family of their loss of faith, because of the consequences, to come out of the closet. It is a perfect gift to somebody one knows, who needs this kind of information.
FORWORD REVIEW by Rebecca Foster: This spirited book defends reason and rejects the supernatural. This could be an inspirational book for Atheists and Believers.
KIRKUS REVIEW: Andrews embarks on a calm, systematic study of organized religion, seeing faith as a psychological or even biological compensation rather than an indication of the divine
