Book: Flying Radio Controlled Helicopters In Just a Few Easy Steps by Dave Carrollcategories: Book, RC Heli, RC Helicopter, Remote Controlled Helicopter, Model Helicopters, Model Planes, BFMA, Hobbies, RC Scale Models, Radio Controlled Helicopters
Dave Carrollabout this book: Well what a complicated world of dark arts RC helicopters are, I really wanted to put a huge complicated book together to explain it all but instead decided to go down a different route.
This is a short 13 page guide to 'all you need to know' to beginning to fly RC helicopters. Its short its sweet and it teaches you what you need to know to get up and running (or flying)
The best thing is, it helps explain how to minimise the risk of damage to your model by sharing all the hints and tips of an experienced flyer.
This book is aimed at any RC heli but more focussed on the traditional standard BMFA mode 2 controller set up.
The advice on learning to hover though, would work on any helicopter.
Another nice aspect is that this book actually explains what each of the controls do and how they will affect the helicopter in flight.
Given the high cost of repairs and spare parts, this book should more than pay for itself in its tips on avoiding damage through crashing alone!
Flying RC models is great fun but does take time and patience, to fly RC helicopters is the pinnacle of RC flight and the hardest type to master.
