LA Kentabout this book: Rogue Flamingo launched the DI Treloar series of Cornish murder mysteries. Treloar is Cornish through and through but with an unusual Spanish heritage which is used throughout the series to flavour it with action from his fun mother and siblings.
The main Cornish setting for Rogue Flamingo is Porthaven, a small coastal Cornish village that locals could be forgiven for thinking was actually Gorran Haven, home to the authors. A series of murders is committed in the village with increasing sexual violence, beginning with an early morning dog walker coming across a body on the beach tied close to the low water mark between buoy lines.
There is a great of action also in the south of France, in The Camargue, featuring a female with a tremendous affinity with animals, birds especially, who has an unusual background of her own and has developed her strong personality because of it. But who is she?
The rough and beautiful coast and countryside of Cornwall features throughout.
