Book: Sail To and From Italy (Sailing Italy) by Jessica Knausscategories: Book, Pirate, Silly, Italy, Spain, Wedding, Princess
Jessica Knaussabout this book: This set of two different, silly stories has it all: a princess, a prince, a pirate, an impersonator, murder, intrigue, fencing, blacksmithing, sailing, Italy, France, and Spain, hate and love, anachronisms, shacks, hotels, and cafes.
I first wrote this book when I was twelve years old, and I threw everything I could think of into my masterpiece. The Princess of Italy loses her father to a mysterious murderer and the only way she can find the culprit is by employing the services of Pirate Pierre, who is awfully self-assured, but gets the job done. In the meantime, she also seeks her long lost uncle and becomes engaged to the Prince of Germany, but finds true love in the most unexpected place. And we mustn't forget the romantic adventures of the princess's best friend, who gets to marry the man of her dreams, the blacksmith.
If you like The Princess Bride, a fast, silly read, and have the sense of humor of a refined sixth-grader, you just might love Sail To Italy and Sail From Italy. Are you up to the challenge?
