Book: Apocalypstick by Gregory Carrico
|4 stars based on the 3 most helpful Amazon reviews|
Gregory Carricoabout this book: Apocalypstick examines the often skewed perceptions that men have of women, in two deliciously dark tales of short fiction.
The first story, Finding Home, is part paranormal horror, and part psychological thriller. Take a few steps in the blood spattered shoes of deeply disturbed man on a quest for the perfect home and family, while trying to escape the attentions of man bent on his destruction. Will he ever find the "normal" life he so badly craves, when the man he is fleeing only exists in his head?
The second story, Killing Tiffany Hudson, is a post-apocalyptic science fiction tale about a heroic, but guilt-ridden young man, mutated by an alien plague. Contrary to his policy of avoiding cities, he fights his way into a monster-overrun Manhattan to save a young woman from a fairly certain, and guaranteed messy, death.
Savor the guilty pleasure of some dark, character-driven horror and science fiction that reviewers call "A suspenseful read that holds your attention and captures your imagination from the very beginning."
The new version also contains a sample chapter from Children of the Plague, a novel based on Killing Tiffany Hudson.
