Criss Jami about this book: Salomé: In Every Inch In Every Mile (2011) was Criss Jami's first publication. Through a tough dismissal after 5 years in college and social isolation after the end of a long-term relationship, Jami suffered a loss of direction to the point where his only option was to turn to a passion he had been suppressing most of his life, writing. As he stated after the release of the book, "The pressure of adversity is the most powerful sustainer of accountability. It's as though everything you do is multiplied by 50 in order to surpass those with a head-start. I was never capable of slacking when at the threshold of failure."
Salomé consists of 77 of Criss Jami's earliest poems, many of which were originally song lyrics for his rock band, Venus in Arms. It also includes both original aphorisms as well as aphorisms of other philosophers and artists. This book is globally renowned and credited for its lyrical structure, intricate wordplay, and, at times, "out-of-this-world" subject matter.
