Book: Poetic Xscape by Paul Crocker

Paul Crockerabout this book: Poetic Xscape is about a different mixture of emotions, thoughts and points of view. Most of the poems are fiction with a couple of exceptions. Most of the poems are about love. Love isn't always happy or romantic. It can be sacrifical or heartbreaking. The poems featured in this book show this very strongly. I didn't want to have all my poems all the same, moral wise. I wanted people to relate to a poem, any poem. That way I know I am doing a good job. Like music, poetry can change people's perspective of the world and each other. As a gay man, I think this is very important in the current climate. The main message I want my book to say is to love everyone, especially your enemies because they are lost and unknowing of it's immense power. Hope and faith also play a big part too. We all fall down on our road to happiness. There is also the dark part of love, the anger, depression, loneliness. I think it is very important to face up to these feelings. We shouldn't hide from them or try to block them out. We should accept what is to come and know we are strong enough as human beings to overcome the feeling of doubt and fear. So what ever you are feeling this book should have the answer or at least a very good attempt at providing one. I hope this book comforts you and gives unlimited inspiration and love.
