Rasheed Odunade Akande about this book: A collection of poems written during difficult times. A preclude to my first work on #Christian-poems, like its predecessors, this collection looks into issues pertaining to our general human existence and particular my own experience as an individual. This collection continues my tale telling attempt (Poetry) and takes off where DISPATCH TALES stopped. The period of its writing spanned the most hectic and basing period of my entire existence so far, most of the write-ups are filled with pain and sorrow; deep and heart-felt sorrow indeed. To do justice to the period, the spiritual side of the tale was written and published in LESSONS IN DESPAIR: A Song Of Hope, this title being the oft expected attempt after years of seeking in the field of religion. More poetry is coming your way. The entire two months it took to write both books are worth remembering, the memories are held together in both works, piece by piece as the heart deemed fit. Part of the challenges faced include a complete rejection and non- support from my care-takers, a result of my change of faith, abandoned by a friend who also served in time past as my editor. This collection and the one to follow were both written, edited and typed by me, such an arduous task, going many nights without sleep. Hope you all find the tales worth your while. Just giving out a bit of me.
