Book: MOTORCYCLE BOY LIVES by Mark Pannebeckercategories: Book, Poetry
Mark Pannebeckerabout this book: Motorcycle Boy Lives is a collection of poetry written by Mark Pannebecker. With forms from iambic pentameter to free verse, this collection is the best I have to offer in this genre. The book itself is a poem edited together in three acts that starts with yearning and desire, moving into living and life experiences, and ending with love and acceptance.
The cover is a black and white photograph of my old motorcycle jacket used as a metaphor in my poem "When At First They Meet Him"
"...They do not see the flaws, the scars,
the worn and faded, the missing parts,
the rips and tears from years of wear,
scrapped and cut, protecting him
from feeling any pain ... "
The title hints at the hard life chosen by bikers but also for me it is a declaration of how I choose to live and grow and love, the allusion of motorcycles and leather jackets all hard exteriors to protect us all from feeling any pain.
