Terri Callsenabout this book: Inspired to write the same style as the movie Forrest Gump. I Am Who I Am is about an immortal who has been apart of things that have happened in real history. For the last thousand years She's been living on an island that was formed because the major land masses collided together because when Jesus descended in 2500 everyone was being baptized and the sins of the flesh were cleansed but the clear oil like substance stayed in the water. Soon people were consuming/bathing in sins of the flesh sinking into the DNA. Nearly 1500 years later a man washes ashore with a name that she was once known as when She was a man.
I Am Who I Am takes you on a parody journey of an immortal taking you into the future.
I started writing the book about 3 years ago but picked it up in June of this year.
I Am Who I Am is available in the Lending Library on amazon. This great feature allows prime members to borrow the book and return it where you can buy it or borrow another ebook. It has also been signed up to be available on all amazon international sites.
I came up with the title because I have this that I choose multi-layered subconscious psychological titles. I had another title but I didn't think it was as catchy; Who Do You Think I Am?
The research came from a partial set of encylopedias that I found at a recycling items depot called a Share Shed where I read the articles and wrote a diary entry about the incident. This part was fun for me as I thought of ways to express an event that did happen in a way that would keep the reader enthralled in the information that most don't know even happened. I tried to find very unique events that haven't been talked about on TV yet.
This is a woman's read because of the comedy that occurs. When I was writing this book my intention was that the characters not have an intimate relationship but when I was reading it to my support group they kept wanting to know if the main characters have intercourse. This is where the comedy comes in. I wasn't going to go "gently into that good night" of intercourse because I wanted a solid comedy but when the readers want something then it is in the best interest of the author to comply to their wishes. I turned into a dream but you don't realize it until a steamy scene unfolds, making your eyes widen and your bottom jaw drops to actualization. The comedy continues into the last chapter where the peace symbol is given a whole new meaning.
This ebook is the 1st one that I have self published myself directly to amazon. I had two other publishing companies list my books for me but I wasn't happy with the perception I was having with the situations. I have been trying to become published for the last 7 years thinking I needed money to do it and large anxieties about free products/programs, formatting, cover design, isbn numbers, and distribution. It took me a week to overcome uploading, isbn worries and freeness but I did it and here I am.
I would like to thank all of the readers out there who want to laugh, snicker, and raise your eyebrows. I had a great time writing it and I hope you have a great time reading it.
I chose the cover because She He Lee lives on an island far from the United Nations and it grabs your attention.
