Shirelle Brownabout this book: This is a book about how I, as a young single-mother, through God's help is raising 2 children, one of which has progressed on to college, overcame the barriers and statistics placed by society in being a single-mom. I was inspired to write this book because I see so many young mothers who don't really have a clue as to how to relate to their child and I wanted to help to break the generational chains of how apathetic parenting was done back in the day (providing the basics only). I also wrote this book to prove that there are single-parents who take the role of parenting very seriously and I wanted to show other mothers how to become more relational with their child/dren and to watch how parenting will become much easier when you achieve a happy medium of balancing being both parent, consultant, and friend to your child by lending a listening ear and a welcoming heart full of love to freely give. It is possible and your children will love you for it!
