J&C Wordsmiths about this book: TEARS OF DESTINY is the 2nd book in THE INSPECTRE SERIES. The series is for young adults and up, offering a play on the paranormal, fantasy, a little science fiction but most importantly each book suggests a lesson in morality. Book #1, DAWN OF THE LIVING GHOST, was our introduction book into the series. Setting up the protagonist & antagonist. Establishing our characters in the "light" and "dark" corporations. The InSpectres (Spector - as in ghost)... (Not Inspector, as in investigator). But, our InSpectre does indeed serve as sort of an Inspector, as his job duty in the afterlife is to return souls to their bodies - those who have died before their time!
In TEARS OF DESTINY, the InSpectre is learning his job duties quite well... a little too well. It seems the InSpectre died before his time as well, but was not able to be put back into his body... as there was no body to go back to! This resulted in a time continuum issue... future births could not take place; future incidents could not happen... not without the help of THE LIVING GHOST. An entity that takes on a role to help the InSpectre (Wayne Martin)with his own personal quest to take back his life and let time go on as it was meant to. In this book, The InSpectre is given the task of helping a teenage girl who is being physically bullied at school, and cyber-bullied. His battle with the dark realm hinders him in each direction he turns, but hopefully he can help this young teenage girl before her thoughts of suicide become "more" than just thoughts!
