about this book: This book is for teenagers aged 15+ who enjoy gripping stories with a paranormal twist. The idea for the book came in a dream or should I say nightmare. The following evening, I set about writing the tale. It took me about five months. I had originally called the book "The Woodcutter", but I felt this did not reflect the urgency of the story or what the novel was about; hence "Running."
When Kate's mother abandons her and her younger brother and sister, they move into a derelict bungalow in the English countryside.
This is a dark tale narrated by sixteen-year-old Kate who tries to adapt to a squalid and potentially threatening new life with Mannis, Saul, Dock and The Wolf, all of whom have dark and trouble pasts.
Following the death of her sister, Kate reaches out to Alden, a mysterious woodcutter with a cabinet in the woods. While her brother Tosh, reaches out to his sister Ellie, but "Ellie's dead Tosh..." Ellie is dead.
