Dale Ibitzabout this book: This is a new adult, paranormal romance set in the northwestern hills of Connecticut. Kiss Me Dead features two 19 year-olds; Christian is a human-reaper hybrid, and Brooke is a long, long-lost descendant of a Naphil.
Christian, who has been enslaved to the Goddess of Death, tries to bargain for his freedom. While he does win the bargain, it comes at a heavy price...the kiss of death. The only way he can break his curse is to receive a willing kiss from an angel.
Brooke, as a descendant of a Naphil, can see reapers. Unfortunately, this means she can see the reaper who stole her brother's soul and murders him. She doesn't know she has the power to kill reapers.
When Christian finds Brooke, he figures all he has to do is get her to fall for him, and get her to kiss him. Granted, she'll die as a result, but he's waited too long to let the opportunity pass, and the seduction begins.
He never expects to fall in love with her...and he doesn't expect her to fight back.
Because Christian's beginnings are from the 1930's, I did have to research how people dressed and spoke, the economy, the cars, and whether or not people even had phones!
If you like sweet romance with a little paranormal thrown in, this could be the book for you.
