Book Review: Destined for an Early Grave - A Night Huntress Novel by Jeaniene Frostcategories: Books, Romance, Gothic, paranormal romance
Author: Jeaniene Frost
The Best Of Cat And BonesThis book is romantic and full of depth. Here the relationship between Cat and Bones matures to something worth keeping. Bones is desperately in love with Cat but is afraid that her love for him is not as strong. Bones's pride is hurt because he wants to be the powerful man that protects his woman but instead of being allowed to do so, he finds that Cat keeps trying to protect him. He thinks that means that on top of not loving him the way he loves her, she also thinks he is weak and doesn't respect him as a man.
Cat is insecure and controlling and isn't able to convey to Bones that her urge to protect him is not disrespect but a sign that she loves him like he loves her and wants to protect her man. Like real relationships, that results in some bad days but they show the depth of their love by accepting the other as is trying to give the other what they need, the way they need it, even when it doesn't come naturally. Oh, and the sex in this book is out of this world ;-)
