Book: The Hunter's Sister (A Dogon-Hunters Series Novel) by Jacqueline Turner Bankscategories: Book, African American, Erotica, Urban Contemporary, Fiction, Paranormal Romance
Jacqueline Turner Banksabout this book: Unlike so many of the recently popular series, this is a paranormal romance series for adults. Yes, it is erotically hot, but it's so much more than that. These characters, the Dogon Hunters, face the day-to-day issues of adulthood, like; family, money and health problems, while working full time fighting the things that go bump in the night. And they do this while reporting to a boss, The Pale Fox, that many would deem certifiable.
The Hunter's Sister took me about six months to write. It is the third published novel in the Dogon Hunters Series, but it's a stand alone. The title refers to the fact that two members of Adama's family were recruited as Hunters and, much to her annoyance since she came first, some of the other Hunter's refer to her as the Hunter's Sister with her brother being the reference point. The beginning of the novel is set in West Africa as seen in my cover.
Researching the Dogon of Mali is an ongoing part of my process, because the mythology I use is very loosely based on the Dogon.
There are lesson to be learned from my series, but my greatest desire is to entertain my readers. I believe I reach my goal in THE HUNTER'S SISTER.
