Ernesto Patinoabout this book: Marco Anissi is determined to find the woman who had received his beloved Susan's heart. She'd died ten years earlier as a result of a car crash. With her mother's help, Marco finds the recipient living in Tucson, Arizona where she works as a dance teacher. Her name is Julia. He signs up for lessons, hoping to develop a relationship. What starts as an obsession to reconnect with Susan's spirit soon turns into a potential life and death drama when Marco learns that her transplanted heart is beginning to fail.
If you believe that fate and destiny play a role in our lives, you will thoroughly enjoy One Last Dance, which I admit is part autobiographical and part fantasy.
The novel was a labor of love for two reasons. One, because I am a ballroom dancer and I've always wanted to write a story set in the world of ballroom dancing, and second, because it was a book that I started years ago but never finished. The truth is, I didn't know how to end it, and so I put it away, hoping that in time, the right ending would come to me, which it did. The result is a love story that brings new meaning to the phase que sera, sera. What will be will be.
