Serena Simpsonabout this book: One of the things I loved and hated about this book was that Gabe was a twin. After telling his twins story, Gabe almost felt lost as if he didn't have a voice of his own. So when I was telling his story, he went out of his way to let me know that just because he looked like his brother he wasn't his brother.
The other interesting that you won't find elaborated on in the story is that Gabe is the oldest. You may figure it out from the amount of guilt he felt about the suffering his brother went through.
I loved Taya because her character lived in her mind. It's an interesting concept, but one I see every day where people interact with the world but stay separate from it at the same time. Taya reminded me that people are different, and the way they deal with pain can be radical. I loved when she began to open up and how Taya and Gabe came together.
The one thing that continued to make me smile through the whole book was how Gabe loved her before the words. His actions told the tale of how he felt inside.
