Susan Griscomabout this book: Whisper Cape is an unusual story of two extraordinary people. A powerful, beautiful woman and an astonishing man. Both possessing unique abilities and they must learn to trust each other in order to save their secret and their world.
Whisper Cape is a quiet town, until a series of gruesome killings happen. Local legend claims a maniac has taken their lives and several lives in the past. If you stand by the cliffs overlooking the ocean, you can hear the voices of the dead whispering.
Addison MacKenna grew up as a normal child, but after the recent death of her father, she is plagued by nightmares and struggles with her anguish, refusing to believe his demise was accidental. Her foreboding nightmares are only the beginning of her unique abilities and Addie soon discovers some inherited and unusual powers. When she encounters a man who not only believes her, but helps her cope with her nightmares and her gifts, she realizes he is the only one who can protect her from the murderous monster—except, he is the same man who makes Addie's heart race and her blood heat with passion.
Cael Sheridan is mysterious, arrogant and extremely gorgeous. He is sworn to protect the daughter of his recently murdered mentor, but the task become complicated when he finds it impossible to resist the magnetic passion igniting between them. Although he has the soul and powers of an ancient warrior, he puts on his tight, sexy jeans one leg as a time and succumbs to Addie's allure and vulnerability just like the next dumb guy in love, But he must put his feelings aside in order to teach and guide her as she learns her new skills.
Cael and Addie take us on a whirlwind romance with a spin of supernatural powers with a dose of human traits. Fate has brought these two extraordinary people together, but will it make them stronger or destroy them both in end?
I enjoyed writing Whisper Cape so much that every day I spent with Cael and Addie the more real they became to me. I was further inspired after a trip to the Oregon coast, the setting for Whisper Cape. The cover is actually a picture of a cove along the northern California coast, which I wrote several scenes in the book based upon. The picture still hangs on the wall above my desk.
If you enjoy mysteries and suspense with a heavy dose of romance weaved throughout, you'll enjoy Whisper Cape. The most challenging part of writing Whisper Cape was the relationship between all the characters—establishing their tangled pasts as they collide with the present with all their secrets and abilities. I am currently working on the second book in the series, Reflections. I hope to have it completed soon for publication by November 2012.
Thanks for reading.

Mystery, Romance and Teleportation - a WinnerGreat story, well-drawn characters (one of which is a to-die-for hero) and intriguing plot. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for a guy who can transport me to the other side of the world in seconds. Can't wait for the sequel (REFLECTIONS) which I hear is due out later this year. Loved this book! Beginning of a Great New PN SeriesI thoroughly enjoyed this, the first novel by Regan Walsh; in fact, I read it more than once. I understand she is currently working on a sequel and I couldn't be happier. [by Eden T. Chase]
