Simon Marshlandabout this book: Is there life after death and if so do we all have a hidden history of past lives? Charlie Parker doesn't think so yet through his meteoric rise from an english country boyhood to the Chairmanship of one of New York's biggest international banking conglomerates he is haunted by flashbacks to two previous lives, one as a rifleman in the Napoleonic wars and the other as a young undergraduate at Oxford in 1939 who has to give up his studies to become a fighter pilot in the Battle of Briton. Charlie dismisses both as mental aberrations but the flashbacks persist becoming so intense he finds himself living both past and present almost simultaneously. Determined to put an end to these aberrations once and for all he flies to England where the last life took place to see if he can find anything to substantiate them.
