Tori Scottabout this book: Superstition is a light paranormal/adventure/suspense about a Native American woman, Caitlyn Deveraux, who has moved away from her tribe to live in southern California. She receives a box that contains her brother's ashes and a pendant that she believes is a piece of costume jewelry he had picked up for her in Afghanistan. Instead, it's an ancient amulet that turns her life upside down and puts her entire tribe in danger.
Gage Deveraux was a member of Team Indigo, a private special ops team that ferrets out military and government corruption around the world. His best friend, Jacob Littlejohn, makes it his mission to protect Caitlyn and to find out who is after her, and why. With the help of several members of Caitlyn's tribe, along with Caitlyn and her best friends, they travel deep underneath the Superstition mountains to a secret facility run by a general with a mission of his own--to destroy Caitlyn and her entire tribe to get what he wants.
Superstition is appropriate for young adult and adult readers who enjoy military intrigue, shape shifters, and adventure with a touch of romance.
