Geoff Wakelingabout this book: Ever had a feeling that life wasn't about what you could see? That there was something else, lurking in the background?
Roberta's life is largely uneventful, and she lives out a quiet but content existence in Ridgewood; a small and isolated town on the borders between England and Scotland. The town itself has always had a strange draw….once you're a resident, you rarely want to leave.
But things are about to change for Roberta, and when she finds one of her pupils dead, the aftermath begins a tale of horror and torment as Roberta's own mind begins to unravel. Rage begins to flood through Roberta's normally passive soul, and she lashes out at both friends and acquaintances as she struggles to deal with bizarre dreams and dark voices. But what does it mean? Where has this destructive force come from? And, even with the help of her friends, will she be able to survive the ancient evil coming her way?
I loved writing Inside Evil and its subsequent sequels as it gave me a chance to develop a new world that's closely shadowing our own. Ever had déjà-vu or thought someone had just walked over your grave? Perhaps they have, just in another parallel universe. Here, evil doppelgangers are everywhere, waiting to break through and take their place on Earth. But, as the story develops, perhaps there are two sides to every story.
