Salma Iftikhar Aliabout this book: This book is about the life of a feudal in Pakistan. Tied and shredded to the feudal culture the book deals with the rigid norms which remains unresolved. The disparity in different stratus of society are breathtaking and heartbreaking. The life style, multiple marriages, the belief in spiritualists, the importance of males and the part played by the families in making vital decisions are horrendous.
The book could appeal to all ages except children. It took me more than a year to write and another year was spent on researching which involved the feudal families who even in this age play a pivotal role in our world.
This book is a thriller with many surprises. It goes deeper into the finer details of living standards in the elitists culture. Celebrations of marriages and childbirth are very interesting. For them life revolves around their possessions and they devise sleazy methods to protect them, sometimes even at the cost of the life of their own kin. It is an interesting read and sweeps the reader off his feet!
