R P Etheredge

about this book: The First Eighteen Days is the first book in a set of three named The Theiran Tapes. I spent the last fourteen months writing, rewriting, and editing the story. I found inspiration in the early works of a band named Queensryche; specifically, The Lady Wore Black, Walk in the Shadows, Sanctuary, to name a few.

This story is sort of a cross between the Underworld and Prophecy movies. Our protagonist Steve Crauft has found that he wasn't always the man he is now. Early on he is visited by a beast capable of unimaginable horror. Soon after he meets someone of a more holy persuasion, and soon finds himself in the middle of a battle between good and evil. This all takes place in the French Quarter of New Orleans, about a year after Hurricane Katrina.

Crauft soon finds himself tasked with finding a lost book; a book sent by God to teach an infant mankind the ways of righteousness. Both sides have a very real interest in finding this book, and it seems Crauft is the only one that has a chance.

I hope whomever reads this book finds themselves caught up in the world it creates, and leaves them longing for the second offering, For Reasons 36, to be released this summer.
