Sydell Voellerabout this book: I was inspired to write Her Sister's Keeper for a number of reason. First, I'd read in the newspaper about a local camp for physically challenged children that emphasized therapeutic horseback writing. That sparked my enthusiasm. I interviewed the director of the camp, who was excited to learn about the book-in-progress, and I gleaned a lot of valuable information from her.
Having worked as a camp nurse for a few years in the past, I could easily see myself slipping into the persona of my POV character, Logan Corbett—and from there building a tension-filled romance between Logan and the camp physician, Zack Dellinger, M.D.
Also, since I'm an amateur backyard astronomer, I loved writing the camping-in-the-hills scene whereby Logan and Zack witness a burst of meteor showers in the dark skies away from city lights.
My target audience for this book is readers who love "squeaky clean" contemporary romances in e-book form. This is a re-issue (by Books We Love, Ltd.) of my previously published e-book by the same title.
