Daniel Murano about this book: After her parents take their own lives, Raine inherits the dilapidated Falinmore Mansion where she hesitantly lives. Away from society, she enjoys her days of solitude until she begins seeing figures move about her new home. Raine soon finds that they are actually a group of orphans desperately trying to rid her from the property as well as the mansions dubious caretaker whose greed may destroy them all. The powerful yet mysterious crest in her palm will only take her so far. She will need to earn the trust of those around her and defend a secret that that change the world forever. Anyone interested in fiction would enjoy this book which all began from a dream I had. It has been in the making for well over three years. The placement of the orphans on the cover was not by accident. The older orphans are up front and meant to show that they are defending those behind them. The cover is also meant to show their independence as well as their secluded life. The most difficult part in making the novel was finding the right editor. So many were clearly off their hinges, however one was found who was ideal in the end. If I have learned anything from this debut novel, it is that writing takes both an equal amount of patience and determination. I can only hope that others will love my story the same as I have.
