about this book: Beyond the Music is the brand new stand-alone prequel to my book Rock'N'Roll in Locker Seventeen. It is a new adult romance that takes place in the 1960s. The main character Ellen was forced to move to Canada to help her family. They soon run into financial hardship and she meets a mysterious new suitor who is obviously hiding a big secret. Ellen soon finds herself torn between trusting her new boyfriend or returning to her old home in America and the boyfriend she left behind.
I was inspired to add more to my characters' stories and explore a vintage time period. I am working on the third and final book in the series currently. You do not need to have read my other book to enjoy this one, you can read them in any order you please.
This book features comedy and romance with a bit of mystery and a twist ending. If you enjoy funny light pop culture like That Thing You Do, Back to the Future, and About a Boy you will enjoy it.
